Most unlawful dump sites are in remote areas that attract multiple dumping in the same place.   Suggesting an illegal dump site invites more dumping.  Sadly, one discarded mattress becomes a large heap of many castoff items. Unfortunately, removing the items is costly for the community, and now that the unauthorized dump site is known and the heap comes back. The unlawful dump site is a “hot spot”.
